Mohamed Torbati is a Professor in Mechatronics Research Group. He completed his PhD in the Signal Processing and Control Research Group at the Institute of Sound of Vibration Research and since then has been involved in all areas of research, teaching and enterprise. His recent research activities have been mainly on energy harvesting and storage including efficient DC power generation from reciprocating mechanical motion, compressed energy storage, and the design of magnetic gears for energy harvesting. He has developed innovative technologies such as the Self-Reversing Screw Energy Harvester (SRS-EH) and the Regenerative Shock Absorber (SRS-RSA), for which he holds patents. He is currently the Deputy Head of School for Internationalisation.<\/p>\n

Nu Rhahida Arini is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Energy in Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (PENS). She teaches and conducts research in the fields of fluid mechanics, energy conversion, and renewable energy systems. Her work focuses on developing sustainable energy solutions for remote islands in Indonesia, including the design and evaluation of wind and tidal energy systems. Dr. Arini has led collaborative research projects with academic and industrial partners, including BP and the University of Southampton, and she actively engages students in hands-on learning and real-world engineering challenges. She has received national and international recognition for her contributions, including being a finalist for the Underwriters Laboratories ASEAN-U.S. Science Prize for Women 2023.<\/p>\n

Luqvi Rizki Syahputra is a dedicated professional actively promoting national energy transformation through the strengthening of human resource competencies. He currently serves as an Instructor (Widyaiswara Ahli Muda) at the Human Resource Development Center for Electricity, New and Renewable Energy and Energy Conservation (Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources), with a primary focus on training, certification, and skill development in the fields of electricity and energy. He previously held the position of Sub-Coordinator for Program and Cooperation at the Human Resource Development Center for Electricity, New, Renewable Energy, and Energy Conservation. In this role, he was responsible for budget planning and program synergy related to training and certification aimed at enhancing competencies in the electricity and renewable energy sub-sectors, particularly in the context of the shift from fossil fuels to renewable energy sources. Currently, Luqvi is also active as a certified competency assessor in the electricity sector and an energy auditor for buildings and industries. He holds a Master\u2019s degree in Systems Engineering from Gadjah Mada University, which supports his capability to design adaptive and sustainable human resource development strategies.<\/p>\n
