CREATE

The Center for Research and Innovation on Advanced Transportation Electrification (CReATE) at Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (PENS) is a leading research hub dedicated to advancing Indonesia’s electric vehicle (EV) technology and fostering national energy independence. CReATE focuses on developing core EV components—including axial flux BLDC motors, controllers, and intelligent fleet management systems—while promoting local innovation and reducing reliance on imported technologies.

CReATE’s innovations have been showcased at international events, such as the Indonesia International Auto Parts Accessories & Equip Exhibition (INAPA) 2025, where PENS presented electric vehicle prototypes like sport electric motorcycles and all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) powered by domestically developed axial flux motors.

Beyond national initiatives, CReATE has established international collaborations, including a partnership with Nigeria’s Goldmine Global Services LTD to develop and market electric vehicle products in Africa. This collaboration aims to promote zero-emission transportation solutions globally.
Through its commitment to innovation, collaboration, and sustainability, CReATE plays a pivotal role in strengthening Indonesia’s EV ecosystem and supporting the nation’s transition toward cleaner, energy-independent transportation solutions.
