Prof. Wen-Chung Kao

Topic: Recent Advances in Color Electronic Paper

Wen-Chung Kao is a chair professor with the Department of Electrical Engineering, National Taiwan Normal University, New Taipei, Taiwan.

Before he joined academia in 2004, he was a department manager with SoC Technology Center, ITRI, Taiwan, an AVP with NuCam Corporation, Foxlink Group, and the co-founder of SiPix Technology Inc.

His research interests include system-on-a-chip (SoC), embedded software design, flexible electronic paper, machine vision systems, and digital camera systems.

Kao received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from National Taiwan University, New Taipei, in 1992 and 1996, respectively.

He is the president of the IEEE Consumer Electronics Society. He is a fellow of IEEE.

Prof. Nobuo Funabiki

Topic: Throughput Control Method for Concurrently Communicating Multiple Hosts in Wireless Local-Area Network

Nobuo Funabiki received the B.S. and PhD degrees in mathematical engineering and information physics from the University of Tokyo, Japan, in 1984 and 1993 respectively. He received the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the Case Western Reserve University, USA in 1991. From 1984 until 1994 he was at the System Engineering Division, Sumitomo Metal Industries, Ltd., Japan. In 1994 he joined the Department of Information and Computer Sciences at Osaka University, Japan as an assistant professor and became an associate professor in 1995. He stayed at the University of California, Santa Barbara from 2000 until 2001 as a visiting researcher. In 2001 he moved to the Department of Communication Network Engineering at Okayama University as a professor. His research interests include computer networks, optimization algorithms, educational technology and Web technology. He is a member of IEEE, IEICE, and IPSJ. He was a vice chairman at IEEE Hiroshima section in 2009 and 2010. He served as a member of technical program committee in more than 10 international conferences. He has published more than 300 papers and coauthored two books.

Prof. Amang Sudarsono, S.T., Ph.D

Topic: Secure Data Exchange System in Wireless Delay Tolerant Network using Attribute-Based Encryption

Amang Sudarsono received the B.E. degree in electrical engineering, telecommunication and multimedia program from the Sepuluh Nopember Institute of Technology, Indonesia, in 2001, and the Ph.D. degree in communication network engineering from Okayama University, Japan, in 2011.

From 1997 to 2002, he was at the Network Engineering Division, Metro Cellular Nusantara, Ltd., Indonesia. He joined as a Lecturer with the Division of Telecommunication Engineering, Department of Electrical Engineering, Politeknik Elektronika Negeri Surabaya (Electronics Engineering Polytechnic Institute of Surabaya), Indonesia, in 2002. His research interests include privacy-enhancing authentications (group signatures), network and information security, and cryptography.
